IBM MQ Server User Profile Update

When IBM MQ Server is started, the Windows login profile is use for security. The problem is when the profile password was changed - MQ Server will not start anymore. To fix this issue, MQ Server security should be updated. Below is the step on how to update the security of MQ Server.

Type dcomcnfg in Start Window field.

The Component Services Window opens. 

Expand Component services. 

Expand Computers. 

Expand My Computer. Click ‘No’ (?) when you get a warning about a CLSID.

Click the DCOM Config node. 

A list of applications is displayed. From this list:
   Find and highlight the IBM MQSeries Services entry.
   Right-click IBM MQSeries Services, and then click Properties.
   This displays information about the location of the DCOM server (AMQMSRVN.EXE), together with its    identity and security properties.

Select the Identity page.

Enter your new password twice. Click ok.
